Hannah Claire is 1 week old today!

Sorry I haven't posted any pictures lately, but I have been out of commission for the last few days. It is so hard to believe that my baby girl is one week old already. I have enjoyed every precious moment that I have had with her. She is such a good baby (I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will remain the same)! Kyle complains that he hardly ever gets to see her eyes! She eats and sleeps, with the exception of about 1:00am-3:00am! That is the time that she wants to be talked to and played with. I have suggested to Kyle that if he wants to see her eyes, he needs to set the alarm and get up during her awake time! He has got up for about 15 minutes, but since mommy is at home, that is about as long as he can stay awake and then it is back to bed. I am really tired that early in the morning, but when she gives me that smile, it is worth it all! I love being a mommy to both of my girls! Hallie is the best big sister! She is doing better understanding how fragile Hannah is right now, and everyday she loves her more and more. Today we went to Bowling Green to get mommy's staples removed, so I took a few pictures before we left while Hannah was awake. Everyone is doing well and we really appreciate all the calls and food that our friends, family, and neighbors have brought. Hannah is nursing well, and is almost back up to her birth weight. The Date Is Set!

Unless, something happens between now and next Friday, Sept. 19th 2008, our little Hannah Claire will make her arrival. I went to the see Dr. Lyons today, and she tells me that my babies just like to nest up high and they do not want to come out. No sign of progress and I am not having any contractions. She wanted to do it on a Wednesday, but with Kyle's new job, I thought if we could wait until Friday he wouldn't have to miss much work. I know some people may think I am crazy, but I have carried it this long, what is two more days.. With starting this new position, which comes with a lot of responsibilities, I know that being off more than a few days is just not possible right now. However, it is my second, and with all of my good family and friend support I know I will make it fine. I have a lot of emotions going on right now! I am anxious, happy, nervous, and just hoping and praying that God will take care of everything. I trust in him fully to watch over my family. He has been so good to us, and we owe him everything! If you think of it, please whisper a prayer for us next week. Dr. Lyons says everything looks great and she is just thinking we are going to have another big baby. After all, Hallie weighed 9 pounds and eleven ounces. I can't wait to cuddle my new baby girl!

30th Birthday and still Pregnant!

I never dreamed I would turn 30 and still be pregnant. I went to the doctor on Thursday, and I have had no progress at all. Therefore, she is going to keep letting me go as long as I am not having any contractions or problems (a little scary with a previous C-section, but I trust Dr Lyons). I go back on the 12th, and she will set my date for the next week if I am still going. My tentative due date is Sept. 14th, but she states that is only an estimate, and it could be off a little. Oh well, I guess I just have to keep bearing it until time. However, I have had a wonderful birthday! Just being alive and getting to spend time with my precious family is such a blessing. Marcia, my wonderful mother-in-law, took me to watch Greece at the Capital Arts on Thursday night before my birthday. We started out the night by having dinner at Cambridge Market, one of my favorite restaurants and then we headed to the show. The show was great! I love musicals, and have always been a huge fan of Greece. The cast consisted of young adults from all over Bowling Green, and they put on a wonderful performance! When I got home that night I also had a very sweet card with a giftcard in it to JCPenney's from Marty, Steph, and my beautiful nieces. It was so nice! After the baby comes I am sure I will be ready to go shopping for some new clothes. The next morning, September 5th, I awoke to the sound of two precious little feet at my bedside saying "Mommy, get up! It is your birthday, and we bought you flowers, a card, and more presents." It was so sweet that tears flowed down my face (you know how emotions are when your pregnant). While Marcia and I were at the show, Kyle took Hallie to dance class, out for supper, and they went shopping. They bought me a big griddle like I have been wanting forever (they love pancakes for Sunday morning breakfast, and this is just the perfect thing to cook them on),a beautiful bouquet of fall flowers (Fall is my favorite time of year), and with the help of my parents a nice recliner to rock Hannah in. Hopefully it will be delivered next week! I then went to work for a few hours, and my wonderful staff and clients threw me a party with birthday cake and nice presents. Honestly, I do not think I could work with a better group of individuals! After work, my parents took everyone out to dinner. I had been craving fish all day, so I really wanted to go to Captain D's in Leitchfield. My step-dad said he would take me anywhere I wanted to go (not sure everyone else wanted to go to Captain D's), but that was good enough for me. I love to go there and eat because the food is always hot and it is clean. After dinner we went back to my parents home and had wonderful banana pudding that my mom always makes! Kyle and mom set around and sang gospel songs (our church just got new song books) and me, Hallie, and Papa played and listened. It was a great night! Tonight Kyle is taking me for a night out! Not sure what he has in store, but I am sure we will have fun. Sorry for such a long post, but it has been a long time.
