Patty Cake!

My sweet Hannah Claire turned eight months old on Tuesday, the 19th. Her new favorite thing to do is play patty cake. I have tried several times to record her, but when I do she will not perform for me. I know this video is a little dark, but I thought it was just to sweet not to share. She is such a joy, and I am soooo blessed to be her mommy. I am so in love with both of my precious little girls! Hope everyone has a fun and safe Memorial Day. I am looking forward to spending some time with friends and family on the lake and camping. Love to all of my sweet blogging friends!

Yesterday was the final performance of Hallie's Spring Dance Recital. Grandmother and Aunt Catherine accompanied us, as we watched her perform for the last time this semester. However, she is already looking forward to Summer camp in July, as she told Mrs. Elizabeth that only a few more day and she will get to see her again. Hallie did a wonderful job, and we were so proud of her, even giving Aunt Catherine a thumbs up as she left the stage from performing. Watching her perform brings back so many memories of my childhood, and I am so thankful to be able to share these same memories with my little pumpkin. Grandmother brought her a beautiful pink rose and she was so appreciative. Thanks again Dance Images for making my little girl feel so special and giving her wonderful instruction and great memories that she will always cherish. This is the 25th year anniversary of Dance Images, and I want to congratulate Ms. Kathy Leonard on a job well done!

Today was day #1 of Hallie's Spring Dance Recital. She had a wonderful day and she has absolutely enjoyed dancing this year and meeting new friends. It just melts my heart to watch all those precious little girls on stage performing. Her group danced to the theme "Teddy Bear Picnic." I couldn't leave Hannah out, so she got to wear her "tutu" also. Papa and Nana joined us to watch her in action, and that made Hallie's day. Today was a special day for so many reasons. First and foremost, I am so thankful that God has blessed me with two special angels that makes Mother's day so special. I truly never knew love until I seen the face of my firstborn. When I was pregnant with Hannah, I used to wonder if I would love her as much as I did Hallie. And, when I laid my eyes on her for the first time, it was instant all over again. They always bring me sunshine on a rainy day and I feel so blessed to be their Mommy! Second, I am so thankful that Kyle and I both still have our wonderful mothers. My mother is so special to me, and I want to honor her as long as I can for all the things that she has instilled in me and taught me throughout my life. I only hope I can be as good of a mother to my girls as she was to me. And third, I thank God for still having some wonderful Grandmother's to share this special day with. All of my grandmothers have passed away, but I am still glad that we have Kyle's to spend this day with. We had our families over today for a fish/chicken fry and we enjoyed spending time with them so much. Kyle got me two Pink Dogwoods (one for each girl), and I can't wait to get them planted.
