Whew...what a FUN day!

Happy 1st Birthday Hannah Clarie! We can't believe that a year has already passed since we welcomed you into the world. On September 19, 2008, at 8:33 am, your daddy and I was once again blessed with another healthy baby girl. You have been such a blessing to our home, and there is not a day that goes by that your sweet smile doesn't make me feel so blessed to be your mommy. You are on the move all over the house, even standing "alone," but you are still real skeptical of taking that first step. Believe you me, your mommy wants you to take your own sweet time, because I know when you do I am going to be on the move all the time.
Today, we celebrated your special day with a family party. We were so glad to have so many of our family members in our home to celebrate. We really appreciated all the gifts, and feel so thankful that our lives have been blessed with such great people as our family. Hannah wasn't real sure about her cake in the beginning...didn't like it on her hands. But, when she got a good taste of my sweet friend Tracy Oliver's homemade icing, she couldn't get enough of it! Thanks so much Tracy for a beautiful and wonderful tasting cake. Hope you enjoy the photos! We are going to enjoy every minute we can of this sweet baby girl!

It seems like forever since I posted, but the last couple of weeks have been busy around the Cassady house. I have been extremely busy at work with loads of new admissions (always great this time of year), hiring of extra staff to take care of these wonderful people, and Kyle has started back to WKU. I am so excited that Fall is in the air! I love everything about it...pumpkins, gourds, cool nights, bon fires, and just decorating for Fall itself. However, just a few things over the past few weeks that I would like to share. The first week of September, Hallie was chosen star of the week in her class. She was so excited! With this entitlement, she got to be the line leader for the whole week, have a board with lots of pictures of her on it, bring her favorite toy for show and tell, and many other things that made her feel special. I went to have lunch with her one day and took some pictures. Also, thanks to my sweet friend Carol for getting some pics of her during show and tell.
On another note, my sweet Hannah Claire went for her FIRST haircut! Her hair had been getting stringy with lots of new baby hair, and things like this drive me crazy. So, we headed down to see our sweet friend Amber. Hannah was an angel, and seemed to enjoy setting in the chair with her little apron on.
On the last note, I have been begging Kyle to tile my backsplash in my kitchen for a long while now. He kept putting me off, promised he would get to it the summer (summer has almost come and went and no backsplash), so when he asked me what I would like to have for my birthday this year.....ah...ah...KITCHEN BACKSPLASH! His response was are you sure, that isn't a very good birthday gift for just you. My response...yes it is...something I have been begging you to do forever. So, he couldn't let me down on my birthday, so it is atleast started and almost complete. He ran out of materials last weekend and we neither one wanted to make a trip to Bowling Green again...but he promises it will be done by the end of this weekend. He has only one more wall to go, and then grout! Wonderful Birthday Present! I have took some pics in the process, and will post the final pics when it is completed.
