On Saturday I spent several hours going through totes of Hallie's clothes that I had decided to store just in case we had another girl. From trying many things on Hannah Claire, to lots of washing and ironing, we found lots of things that work perfect for Spring and Summer. Hannah's favorite thing was one of Hallie's polka dot bikinis....she loved it so much that she wanted to wear it all day! Now, if we could just get Mr. Sunshine to come out and stay, this little girl will be very happy! The last photo was taken a few months ago when Hallie had her cousins over for a sleep over. They wanted to have a makeup party, and that is just what we did. While I was organizing some of my pictures this afternoon, I found it and Hallie thought it was blog worthy. I have to agree...these "3" cuties are always blog worthy! Happy Monday to everyone!

Little League Basketball Presentation and Swim Lessons

On Monday night we ventured to Hallie's Little League Basketball trophy presentation....the NIGHT she has been waiting for. She had a great time playing bball for the first time this year, and she IS REALLY looking forward to softball this Spring. I can remember when I was a young girl all the fun I had with friends playing sports, and I know I am going to have lots of fun watching her too. Tuesday night we ventured to Glasgow with some friends to the YMCA for our second round of swim lessons. Hallie loves the water and enjoys Summer so much. Now, we are just looking forward to Spring Break and our "NEXT" trip to Disney World. Even though I am the mother that said last summer that I am not going back to Disney for several years...because...Man, "it is work!" However, when our time share offered us a GREAT opportunity this week to go back..."YES," this hasty decision was made very last minute, I kept thinking to myself, they will only be little ONCE. But, I have to admit, I feel just like a kid again when I see Cinderella's castle. Afterall, WDW is an extremely MAGICAL PLACE! I hope everyone is having a GREAT week! I am looking forward to a great weekend with family and friends! Love to all!

The Way to A Man's Heart is Through Their Stomach....NO..It Is Through Words!

On Monday of this week, Kyle had a board mtg and it was going to be really late before he would be home. Hallie was really missing him since she hadn't seen him all day, and she was begging me to call him on the phone. I told her that I couldn't bother him because he was in an important meeting and could not be interrupted. She proceeded to tell me that she had something "really" important to tell him and she knew he would want to hear it. Me in the rushing mist of trying to get dinner done and all the other things that needed to be done before bedtime...What is it that it can't wait until he gets home? She said...that "I miss him so much and I can't wait for him to get home and snuggle with me." Okay, I stopped in my tracks with the sink about to run over with water and my heart melted. I know we all think our children are the "sweetest," but She MELTS my heart so much by the things she says. After turning my water off so the kitchen wouldn't be flooded, I gave her the biggest hug and told her that was the sweetest thing I had heard all day! But, since we couldn't call him how about she color or draw him a picture to let him know how she feels. Hallie....Great Idea Mom! I will make him a book. And, that is exactly what she did!

When daddy got home and Hallie presented the book to him, he could hardly hold back the tears. Once again, she melted my heart! I am so glad that she is loving and caring and doesn't mind to show it! After all the frets, challenges, and things about life that are sometimes hard for me to understand, this "work of art" made me forget about them all! Later that night as the house was quite and both girls were sleeping, Kyle and I both agreed that there is no amount of money in this world that could ever buy this precious book. Kyle even commented that if it could even be possible...he just loves her more and more each day! I am so glad that I was privileged to read such a precious book as Dad's Girl. It sure is the "small" things in life that make it so much worth living!

I couldn't leave this sweet face out...and, I know when she gets old enough she will make sweet books for daddy too, because her Big Sis is trying to teach her everything she knows.

SEE Kindergarten Class Tournaments...Mrs. Lesley's Wildcats Rock!

Tonight was Hallie's Kindergarten class tournaments. Hallie had a wonderful time and enjoyed playing bball with the girls in her room. I know these girls are going to have lots of fun and share many memories through the years. To me they are a great group of "Sweethearts!" Hope you enjoy the photos! I love my hairdo makeover Mom!

Hallie and I don't get to spend alot of time together as just the "two of us," as she refers to it as, so last night Daddy decided to take Hannah upstairs to the playroom to play so Hallie and I could have some fun. I asked her how she would like to spend the afternoon, and this is what I got...."Mommy, I want to read books to you, for you to paint my fingernails, and for you to give me a hairdo makeover." I wasn't quite sure how I was going to master the hairdo makeover, and then my mind went back to my days of basketball and softball games, ponytails, and sponge rollers. First she read me a few books, then I told her that she needed to go take a bath and wash her hair before we could do the "hairdo makeover." After we accomplished all that I asked her to go dry her hair a little and then the hairstylist would be in for the makeover. When I brought out the sponge rollers she wasn't quite sure about it, and the more I put in the more she wondered what she was going to look like. Then, the real drama came out when I told her she was going to have to sleep in them and the "hairdo makeover" would be revealed in the morning. It was hilarious...with tears in her eyes she said,"You mean I am going to have to sleep in these bulky things?" At first she was upset, but then she realized she really could sleep in them and everything would be okay. This morning when she woke up she was so excited to see her "hairdo makeover." I love doing things like this with my girls....I can never have enough mommy/daughter time! Hope you enjoy the photos!
