The End To A Great Weekend....Jackson's Orchard 2009

After church today, our family and a few of our friends decided to head to Jackson's Orchard. What better place to be on such a beautiful Fall day? The kiddos enjoyed the Cider Slide, petting zoo, straw maze, and the wonderful treats that Jackson's has to offer. We had a great time together and enjoyed everyone's company. We have truly had an enjoyable weekend spending time with some great friends. Sad to say that it is almost over...but we are looking forward to spending next weekend in the Smokey Mountains with the entire Cassady family. Yes, 3 cabins, 36 people, and lots of good memories!

A Halloween Celebration For A Speical Little Boy

This afternoon we went to the Oliver's "Wonderful" Halloween Celebration. Their dear sweet Nathan is going to have open heart surgery next Thursday at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. He will still be in recovery on Halloween, so many of his dear friends and their families celebrated with him early. Nathan is a precious little boy, and many, many prayers are still going up for him and his family to help them in this time of need. The Air Evac team landed their helicopter on the Oliver's farm for the kids to visit, their was an inflatable jumping house, trunk or treating, lots of delicious food, and a scary hayride. Since I wouldn't let the girls dress up in their new Halloween costumes, Hallie decided to be a WKU cheerleader and Hannah was once again a pumpkin. We had a wonderful time! Please if it crosses your mind next Thursday whisper a prayer for this special little boy and his wonderful mommy and daddy. We all believe and have faith that God can look down and mend this sweet little boy's heart! We love you Nathan and we can't wait to visit with you again!

Loving on My Big Sister


Hannah, you are 13 months old today! You are for sure a "little monkey"....from climbing the steps from top to bottom to climbing all over my cabinets/drawers! But, no matter what you get into....I am loving every minute of being your mommy! Here is just a few things you are up to at this point in your precious life!

1. You are still not walking completely on your own yet...5 steps alone is the most you have taken. No Rush!
2. You love just about anything I put in your mouth, especially mandarian oranges and Yo Baby Yogurt.
3. You love...love...love the bath or shower, cry everytime we make you get out!
4. You love for mommy or daddy to read bedtime stories to you, and most of all you love to help turn the pages!
5. You love to go anywhere and are always so good in the car!
6. You got a flu shot last week and didn't even cry...wow..I wish mommy was that brave!
7. You love baby dolls! Your Big Sister does too!
8. You love sweets...especially Little Debbie Oatmeal Pies.
9. When you smile you often crinkle up your nose..I LOVE THIS!
10. You love to try and color with your big sister in her coloring books. This really frustrates her, but one day she will understand that you just like doing what she does!
11. You love to give hugs and kisses...all we have to do is ask...and sometimes you volunteer.
12. You are so crazy about your Big Sister! You can just see the light in your eyes when you see her when she comes home from school.

Today mommy has got to spend all day with you! I loved every minute of it! From the mid morning nap together to playing baby dolls in the playroom, you are such a little doll. Once again, I am so thankful that you are mine and that God allowed me to be your mommy. I took some photos this weekend of you playing in my cabinet drawers, this is a constant battle. However, I try not to complain..or when I do...I think back to the song "It won't be like this for long."

Panama City Beach 2009

We had an awesome Fall Break! We did nothing but relax, spend time together, and just enjoy each other's company. There was no agenda (which is not a norm for us at all)...no specific time to get up...no specific time to go to bed. It seems the last several trips we have been on (Disney World) we have had to have a planned agenda on where we go each day...what time we have to get up...eat...get in the car to go, etc. We mainly have to do this because of my OCD, and my "need" to be organized! But, this vacation Kyle decided there would be NONE OF THAT! His words to me were don't even think about trying to have this all planned out...if it starts to bug you just let me know and I will reassure you that it is going to be okay! There was lots of lounging by the pool, a little beach lounging, lots of good seafood eating, and plenty of rest. We had great weather with the exception of Monday, but we just got in the car and drove to Destin for some shopping. On October 7, Kyle and I celebrated "9" years together! We celebrated by going to a wonderful dinner at Captain Anderson's......one word...Delicious! We also got to have dinner with "ALL" the Brownings. There were several families from EC there and we got to spend some pool time and dinner time together. The Carey's came over one night and I cooked spagetti and cookies for everyone and we had a great time being together. The kids enjoyed swimming and we enjoyed socializing. I didn't get any pics though...but Aimee did, so I will borrow some from her soon. I hope everyone had a great Fall break!
