Last weekend I asked Hallie if she would like to "make" Valentine cards for her class and friends or if she wanted me to buy some. She immediately said "MAKE!" This made me so excited! My mom used to do things like this with me as a child...and I have to admit that I LOVE doing things like this with my girls. Hallie loves crafts, cooking, and if involves glue and scissors you can count her in. I made a quick trip to Hobby Lobby and Wal-mart Saturday morning, and then the Valentine card making was on. We even talked daddy into helping do some of the major cutting...at first against his will, and he even questioned..."Whose idea it was to do this?" But, after they were all completed...we all knew that we had a GREAT time making memories! Isn't that what family is all about? Hallie was so proud of the finished product, and it made my heart feel so warm and fuzzy to see the sparkle in her eyes. I love to see people feel good about what they have accomplished! While we made cards Hannah decided to color...not in a coloring book, but on herself and clothes. Oh well, thank goodness for washable markers and my lifetime investment in Shout. I took a pic of Hallie in her Valentine outfit before school this morning that my sweet friend, Aimee, made for her. I think she did a fantastic job! I will take some more photos later...which will include Hannah.

She loves to cut!

Daddy...asking the question?!?!

Hallie even offered to pay him to help her out!

The finished product....She was so proud and I think they turned out ADORABLE!

Pink for the girls and red for the boys!

The Valentines are adorable!! Love the picture of Hannah too. That is still how Ethan looks about every time we get out markers!
Love the outfit, and the cards are so sweet! Oh and Hannah is cute, with or without markers all over her:)
Love it all too cute!! =)
Love it....so sweet.
Hallie looked AND acted like a little sweetheart today! She was so proud of her card today and she couldn't wait to pass them out - we all loved them too!
Happy Valentine's!
The girls were adorable today. Evan loved Hallie's card!
I love the cards!
Love the cards! Too cute!
I love the sassy picture at the end. Plus the cards are precious. I can't wait to do stuff like this with Brooks. What kid wouldn't want to use dangerous scissors, I know Brooks will be all up for that. I showed Brooks your top picture and told him that was Hannah and he almost said it completely right.
You guys are very creative...such a good idea to make homemade valentines! And Hallie's outfit was too cute!
That was such a great idea! They turned out adorable.
