Wednesday morning I get a call from Kyle around 8:15 as I normally always do...just checking in to make sure everything is going well (Hallie off to a good day, you made it to work okay, and Hannah is with Nana). Yep, everything is going good...hope you have a great day! He then says, I have one more thing...What would you think Hallie would do if I had 4 tickets to see Demi Lovato in concert tonight at the Sommett Center in Nashville? My reaction...Who is Demi Lovato? He said, I am not real sure, but I know she is on the Disney Channel with Miley Cirus, Jonas Bros., and it is something to do with Camp Rock. I say yea...familiar with all those things, but never heard of Demi Lovato! He then said, I have asked a lot of my middle school girls how they would react if their dad got them tickets to see Demi Lovato and they said it would be AWESOME! He said...These tickets were just given to me and I would love to take her if you think it would be a good idea?! The whole time I am thinking to myself....so sweet, but I just hope she knows who this Demi girl is?! I told him that when I pick her up from school I will question her about Demi and if it something she seems interested in then we will take her, if not we will gladly pass them on to someone else. Little to my surprise...when I get her picked up, I ask her if she knows who Demi Lovato is? Yes!!!!! Mom, that is that pretty girl that is on Camp Rock. Okay,.....anything else you remember her from? Yes, she sings with the Jonas Bros too, and Sonny with a Chance...so I am thinking okay...your daddy is going to be so loved tonight. I immediately call Kyle and tell him it is a go! However, lets keep this a secret and not tell her anything until we get there. Let it be a total surprise. Okay he says...I am hoping that she is going to love it! We drove all the way to Nashville with her thinking that we were going to Bowling Green to eat. But, when she saw the Batman building as we all call it (AT&T building), she said we are in Nashville now, not Bowling Green. Dad, did you pass up Bowling Green? Still, we remained silent about what we were doing. We got parked and got in the Sommet Center and she asked what we were doing there? Then, Kyle proceeded to tell her that she was going to get to see Demi. She started hugging him, kissing him, and thanking him. Her exact words...."YOU ARE THE BEST DADDY!" David Archuleta, the 2008 runner-up on American Idol, also performed. He was very good also. We had seats about 2 sections from the stage, so the view was great! Well, that sums it up...she still thinks she has the best daddy! I will admit he is pretty awesome most of the time, and he loves making his girls happy. I think we will keep him!

That was a pretty cool thing to do! But, I must admit, I'm glad there was another parent that didn't know who Demi was...guess we need to stay a little more caught up on these things :o) Those are some cute pictures too!

He in Hallie's eyes is the best dad ever! I had no idea who she was so we've all learned a little from your experience. Hee. Glad you had a great time.
