Early Birthday Bash

Hallie's sweet teacher, Mrs. Lesley, called me last week about celebrating Hallie's Birthday with her friends at school. Hallie's actual birthday is in June when school is not in session, so having a celebration at school is something she will never be able to do. I thought it was a GREAT idea and an opportunity for cupcakes and some fun! I thought I would let Hallie celebrate her birthday with her friends at school, and then she could invite a couple of friends over to spend the night. As I discussed my idea with Hallie, I could see her little mind and wheels turning. "Mommy, what about we go get my ears pierced too?" This is never been a subject I have wanted to force on her, and I thought when she got old enough to want to do it and understand how to take care of them, then I would venture there. She has been discussing it with her daddy for some time now, but he just thought she was too young and that it would make her look too old. Daddy sure has a "hard time" with his girls growing up! She said, "Mommy, if I have my friends there with me to hold my hands, then I know I will be brave and not cry." I couldn't resist, so I got to work on daddy and finally he gave in. So glad that she is also beginning to understand that if you have "good" friends to lean on through scary times, it makes life a lot easier. So, I picked "3" little girls up from school and we headed out for a fun afternoon. After running a few errands, we headed to Claire's for the "Big Event." Everything went great...NO TEARS! Then, we headed to Chuck E Cheese's for some fun and games. We topped off the night by eating at Hallie's favorite restaurant, Fazoli's. The girls seemed to have a great time, and I enjoyed being with them so much. I know these girls are going to have lots of fun growing up together. I hope you enjoy the pictures of our Birthday Bash celebrated a month early!

Love the picture with them holding her hands. Good friends are there for anything and everything!! We did this for Trace at the beginning of school last year. His B-day is in June also. I had brought Trent some cupcakes to his class in August on his birthday so Ms. Nora was kind enough to let us celebrate with Trace a little too.

Sounds like she had a fun time. My birthday is in July, so I was always one to miss out on the school parties. Tell her I love her ear rings! :)

That was so thoughtful of Ms. Lesley. My birthday was in June so I never got the chance to have a school birthday celebration either. Love her pierced ears, she's getting so big.
