SEE Open House and Flowers From A Special Little Guy

Hallie and Mrs. Leslie...her teacher in which she already adores

Tonight was Open House at SEE. It is so hard for me to believe that in "1" short week my baby will be starting kindergarten. I have been trying to prepare myself for this the last couple of weeks, and I know that it is going to be okay because I will be leaving her in "wonderful" hands. However, even though I want my kids to grow and develop into smart, loving, and wonderful individuals, it is just hard to see them growing up and transitioning into different phases of their life. BECAUSE, for mommy it just means they are not a baby anymore!
To change the subject before I shed a few tears....Did any of you ever get flowers from a special little guy when you were in kindergarten? To Hallie's surprise, her special little guy friend, Mason Thornhill, brought her a bouquet of daisies to the Open House tonight. It was the sweetest thing ever! Hallie and Mason have went to daycare together ever since they were babies, and they have always been the best of friends. He is such an adorable little guy and we love him so much. Mommy arranged them for her in a vase and now I have them sitting on the kitchen table(thanks to Mason from Mommy too....I always love a fresh bouquet of flowers for my table). Hallie has a lot of great kids with sweet families in her class, and I feel so blessed for that. She already adores Mrs. Lesley and is so excited about going to spend time with her everyday! We are trying to spend this last week having as much fun as we can. We have some breakfast dates planned with some sweet friends and some play dates scheduled. I hope everyone has a great week! Love to all my blogger buddies!

I really can't believe Hallie is starting Kindergarten either!!!! She will do so good! You all would love Alaska, and if you go in the summer the weather is perfect...it was in the 60's most of the time for us! Good luck next week!

I hope Hallie has a wonderful week next week starting Kindergarten. I can't believe ours are already at that age. I feel the same way about Trace's teacher...she is one of my dear friends and has been for a long time...but that still don't make it easy. Love the flowers, Hallie!!

I'm glad Hallie had such a good time the other night. It really seems like a fun group! I'm sure I will have lots of funny stories to tell this year!

And I'm sooo glad I didn't say anything when the little boy started walking toward me with flowers. I quickly realized that they were for Hallie, but for a second ... lol

See you all soon!
